These five shared values lead every decision we make and action we take, guiding us to deliver impact how and where it matters most.Connect to your opportunityWe are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager, who will perform the following role and responsibilities:Technical build and review on one-off projects:Perform the technical build of the analytics we are delivering. This includes data source analysis, data lake build, analysis metrics build, as well as visualisations. You will likely also be reviewing the work performed by a more junior team member, depending on the project setup. We also expect you to start building the credentials to become a project manager in the future, overseeing more junior team members and managing stakeholders.Perform maintenance role for longer, more-mature projects:Whilst maintenance mainly involves trouble-shooting activities, you are also expected to continuously identify improvements in team processes and controls and discuss them with your manager(s).Connect to your skills and professional experienceTo qualify for this role, it is essential that you have:
- Excellent analytical mind-set and desire to understand the complex data landscape, interconnectivity, and work with abstract thinking in the data space – clearly linking it to business context.
- Technical experience in one or more of the following tools/programming languages: SQL, Alteryx, Python, VBA, and Tableau
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Focus on quality: excellent documentation skills and writing process notes/documenting work papers for tool/software developments
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Accountable and take ownership
- Desire to learn to become future project manager
- Tenacity/intellectual rigour to really understand a problem or issue and get to the bottom of it.
Desirable:
- Business management knowledge in one or more areas: operations, risk, HR, and finance
