Job description: What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, preferably in Business Studies, Financial Services or similar.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills an advantage.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will serve as an integral team member responsible for data quality issues across funds, liaising with fund administrators, custodians, market data providers and our internal Technology and Operations Teams. This department will act as hub for all of Carne’s internal and external data flows. The team will play a pivotal role in optimising and enhancing how Carne interacts with its Clients and service partners.What is your role and your responsibilities?
- Identify potential areas of automation within the Group’s data flows
- Oversee daily SLAs are met with required quality
- Ingesting third party data into our data lake and warehouse. The data management associate will work with different vendor and services.
- Working with vendor partners to understand the data they are providing, and document the data sets, lineage, and flows.
- Monitoring the data pipelines and communicating any issues to stakeholders.
- Working closely with business partners and developers to ensure proper requirements are documented and agreed to for our different initiatives.
- Communicate with data and valuation vendors, brokers, and requestors etc. to obtain information regarding assets.
- Maintain documentation of the process activities / process change is in line with the organisational/audit standards
What Competencies do you require?
- Understanding of asset management / fund accounting would be advantageous
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, navigate challenging data sets, develop solutions etc.
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
