Job description: The Data Quality Officer is responsible for supporting the Data Quality Manager in fulfilling their responsibilities in relation to implementing and maintaining the Trust’s Data Improvement StrategyThe issue of quality of data and information pervades all aspects of the delivery of patient care and is the responsibility of everyone involved in delivering and supporting that care. Ensuring that information held on the Trust’s information systems is of the highest possible standard (accurate, consistent and timely) is crucial for legal, operational, clinical, patient safety and contractual purposes. Assuring high-quality data for analysis is also vital to good decision-making in the organization.The Data Quality Officer will support the Data Quality Manager to implement, monitor, investigate, validate and correct the quality of data on the Trust’s patient-based systems. The post-holder will undertake data investigation, monitoring, validation and correction in a timely and structured manner as directed by the Data Quality Manager.
