With more than 1,500 lawyers across over 40 offices on four continents providing unrivalled access to expertise.Our TeamOur global Business Development and Marketing team includes over 75 colleagues working together to provide frontline business development and marketing (BD&M) support and advice at a practice, industry and office level – much of the work being collaborative and international in nature.Our Partners and Lawyers practice on a broad range of areas such as Corporate, including mergers and acquisitions, Real Estate, including commercial real estate investments, Labor & Employment, regulatory and International Dispute Resolution. Our clients range from private mid-tier companies to publicly listed enterprises and cover a wide range of industries such as automotive, energy and utilities, commodities & shipping, healthcare, life sciences, and -sports and entertainment. You will join our excellent support teams, who cover everything from secretarial services to finance and billing, to support our lawyers in delivering the best service to their clients.Our OpportunityThe primary focus for this role is to work with the Leadership for our CEE offices to define and execute business growth objectives, identify target opportunities, develop and coordinate BD plans, and work with related teams to grow the firm’s business base. As well as working with Leadership, you will also work with individual Lawyers to help them develop and deliver their personal BD plans, including coaching them on BD opportunities, helping them pursue targets and expand relationships, provide strategy for selecting and leveraging practice and industry conferences and other such events. You will also provide primary support in preparing responses to domestic and cross-border requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and other pitches, proposals, capability statements and client-facing materials for new or expanded business, including website and digital media, as well as directory and award submissions. This will be a varied role in which no two days will be the same!YouTo be successful in the role you will have at least 5 years existing BD&M experience, preferably within legal services or other professional services organisations and ideally at a management level. You will need to be fluent in Czech, Polish or Slovak, as well as English (written and spoken), and possess strong project management skills, adapting your work style while working on a number of time sensitive projects. You will achieve your goals by exhibiting a confident and professional approach, utilising your excellent communication skills to work with, and build trust-based relationships with, a wide range of stakeholders. You will be able to provide counsel on strategy, client relationship building, and marketing and sales techniques and take a firm wide view towards inclusive participation across offices and practices to maximize client relationships and growth and revenue opportunities.
