Job description: The Role / LocationSavills is seeking a finance professional to join our commercial property management department.The individual will be part of the largest property management finance team in the country and will ensure service delivery, on our departments charge raising, direct billings, bank reconciliations, other key controls, assist in preparation of accounts for our site resource management entity, maintaining our process controls, property accounting and projects. The candidate will work closely with our operations, finance, systems, and compliance teams to support existing and enhance our system-based controls.The role requires a finance background, system operational knowledge, with a meticulous attention to detail.The role is based in Molesworth Street, Dublin 2.Key ResponsibilitiesKey tasks and responsibilities include the following:Billing and Charge raising.
- Ownership of our salesforce processes for all our landlord direct, service charge budget, and other recharge billings both for our commercial property management portfolio of properties and for our site resource entity.
- Income recognition and reconciliation of our monthly and quarterly billings controls supported with lead schedules of accruals and prepayments to final accounts.
- Monthly intercompany accounts reconciliation of SMRI site resource entity to Savills Commercial.
- Annual service charge budget preparation for all charges e.g. site payroll, insurance, IT support, audit fees, licences, bank fees and other ad hoc recharges.
- Process owner of our service charge quarterly and annual billings through salesforce to final charge raised to receipt of payment across our commercial property portfolio. Working closely with finance and property managers.
- Manage and support migration of other billings processes to our salesforce platform e.g. H&S, ESG, EDC, Sav IQ, Sav FM etc.
- Support preparation and final accounts reconciliations, for our site management entity SMRI.
Accounting
- Support the finance team with the monthly bank reconciliations process (bank book based) across our commercial and residential portfolio of properties. Assist the team in resolving issues.
- Support the Property Management team with the quarterly and annual BVA (budget V actual) expenditure variance analysis, a salesforce-based control process across the portfolio.
- Reporting accountant on selected properties.
- Work closely with property managers, accounts payable and accounts receivable colleagues to resolve queries and ensure that our controls and reporting is maintained to a high standard.
- Assist with the implementation and automation of our financial and operational workflows, collaborate across the team and with senior leadership on selected projects.
- Other ad-hoc duties as determined by the business.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience· Part and/ or qualified accountant with a minimum of 2+ years’ experience from within a large-scale finance processing environment.· Experience within real estate, property management finance is highly desirable but not essential.· Strong understanding and ownership of financial principles, operational processes.
- Ability to analyse problems, implement solutions to generate immediate results.
- Proven track record of achievement in career to date organisational skills and a meticulous attention to detail
- Highly proficient in accounting software systems, Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Large property system orientation and knowledge are desirable but not essential e.g. Yardi, MRI, Dynamics 365, Sap, Salesforce, Power BI.
