The role will have responsibility for the management of shared Azure services and providing support to European Technology teams with the implementation and use of cloud services in accordance with their design as set out in the service catalogue.
The role will work closely with CTS Teams, through a Cloud Centre of Enablement, to fulfil the plans and demands for the department and it’s customers.What you will help us to achieve

  • Ensure the Cloud platform complies with organisational policies and standards and that any deviations are managed appropriately while proactively working to investigate and implement new Cloud security enhancements.
  • Delivery of CTS Services to the European business including:

o Cloud Platform Services – Centralised service including the support and continuous development of CTS owned Azure deployments
o Application Platform Support (platforms for all business development areas to deploy application code)

  • Product owner for shared Cloud services, producing and controlling development lifecycles to ensure enhancements and fixes are prioritised and implemented.
  • Ensuring the CTS Cloud Centre of Enablement functions efficiently helping to coordinated resources from teams across CTS.
  • Support the product lifecycles for shared Cloud services and the Infrastructure as Code pipelines used to deliver them
  • Monitoring of Cloud consumption versus budget, optimising where possible, and to input in to budget forecasting processes on future Cloud spend
  • Ensure work is documented and delivered to standards, to ensure the availability and security of these services, but also deliver expertise withing the Platforms Team.
  • To collaborate within the team, helping to cross skill others to ensure no key-person dependencies exist that may impact service delivery

What you will need to be successful in the roleThe successful candidate will possess the following essential (cloud focused) experience:

  • More than 7 years’ experience in IT, with a demonstrated ability working with rapidly changing technology areas
  • More than 2 years’ experience supporting Azure Cloud or other Cloud environments.
  • Experience mentoring others
  • Knowledge of using Infrastructure as Code, through pipelines, to maintain services. Strong familiarity with Terraform essential.
  • Experience dealing with major Cloud incidents
  • An understanding of enterprise business applications, networks, and systems
  • Advanced skills in change and configuration management
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent understanding of enterprise organizations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Keeps abreast of developments in the IT field (e.g., through reading, training, internet, seminars, discussions, experiment with new techniques and tools, etc.) and readily shares, applies, and promotes new learnings.

The successful candidate will possess the following desirable experience:

  • Professional Cloud certification with a drive and willingness to continuously develop technical knowledge e.g., AZ-104
  • Managed cloud solutions within the Financial Services industry
  • 3rd level degree in IT / computer science or related field
  • Exposure to Operational and IT risk management and supporting audits
