  • A baseline assessment report analyzing UNODC digital fundraising analytics tools, with recommendations for how analytics can be improved. • Launch of at least 1 performance-based digital fundraising campaigns (targeting acquisition and retention) with performance metrics; • Comprehensive analytics and reporting framework set up and tested; • Dashboard for senior leadership populated and updated monthly; • Strategy document outlining optimal digital fundraising journey for UNODC donors; • A strategic roadmap for scaling digital fundraising at UNODC (pending positive pilot results); • Documentation of processes, platforms, and campaign assets; • Delivery of a training and handover to the Co-Financing and Partnerships Section; • Final report summarizing results, insights, and recommendations for scale-up.

Work LocationHome-basedExpected duration1 Aug – 30 Nov 2025Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of External Relations Officer (Private Sector and Digital Fundraising), the consultant will: • Conduct an assessment of UNODC’s existing digital fundraising infrastructure, tools, and donor base; • Design, launch, and optimize a targeted pilot campaign to test digital fundraising potential, aimed at generating individual donations and introducing regular monthly giving; • Lead analytics and tracking setup across digital platforms to monitor performance and conversion rates; • Create and maintain a senior-management-friendly digital fundraising performance dashboard; • Develop and implement a digital testing strategy (e.g., A/B testing on messages, landing pages, CTAs); • Evaluate results and provide actionable recommendations for future investment; • Provide recommendations on platform suitability and tools for scaling up digital giving; • Develop and document a step-by-step roadmap for digital fundraising implementation; • Contribute to capacity building through knowledge transfer, training, and documentation of best practices to build internal ownership of the strategy; • Collaborate with external vendors and partners as needed to implement campaigns effectively. The consultant is expected to: • Work closely with the Co-Financing and Partnerships Section throughout the consultancy; • Transfer knowledge through hands-on collaboration, tools handover, and step-by-step guides; • Develop capacity-building materials including SOPs, toolkits, and process maps; • Deliver a final training workshop summarizing lessons learned and handing off responsibilities.Qualifications/special skillsAn advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in marketing, public relations, digital communications, or a related field is required. A first level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in digital marketing, with demonstrated results in fundraising or supporter engagement is required. • Experience working with large international organizations or UN agencies in multiple fundraising markets is required. • Strong technical skills in digital advertising (e.g., Google Ads, Meta platforms), email marketing, SEO, analytics, and A/B testing is required. • Experience managing digital vendors and agencies to deliver outcomes under tight deadlines is required. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially in training or transferring knowledge to teams with varied levels of expertise is required.LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the UN Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English (i.e. oral and written proficiency and excellent drafting skills) is required.
