Run what runs the world.This Position reports to: Legal CounselKey responsibilitiesIn this role, you will lead and coordinate contract and claim management activities across our Robotics & Discrete Automation operations in Friedberg. You will be a key contact when it comes to assessing contract risks, supporting tender processes, and protecting ABB’s commercial interests during project execution. With your strong legal and commercial understanding, you will work closely with the legal department and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and resolve disputes where needed.The work model for the role is: hybrid. #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Friedberg (Germany). Main stakeholders include cross-functional departments at the Friedberg site and colleagues across the global ABB Robotics and Discrete Automation organization.You will be mainly accountable for:Identifying contract baselines and conducting risk assessments in line with internal guidelines and processesReviewing, negotiating, and managing selected contracts and non-disclosure agreements in close collaboration with the legal and business teamsDrafting and managing legal correspondence with customers and suppliersSupporting the legal team in the resolution of disputes, claims, litigation, and arbitrationProtecting ABB’s contractual position throughout the project lifecycle, including change and deviation managementEnsuring compliance with the ABB Code of Conduct as well as global and local contract management standards and toolsYou will join a collaborative and experienced team, where you will be able to contribute to your legal and commercial skills in a dynamic and international environment.Qualifications for the roleDegree in Law, Business Law, or a comparable field with a solid understanding of economic and contractual frameworksPractical experience in contract and claim management, ideally in an industrial or project-driven environmentFamiliarity with contract law and risk assessment methodologiesStrong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsHands-on mentality with a structured and customer-oriented approachAbility to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and international teamsFluency in German and English, both written and spokenBenefitsRetirement PlanFlexible work practicesEmployee Share Acquisition PlanLearning & development offeringInterested in joining our team?
