These are high impact, high visibility projects.In this role, you will:

  • Be part of the deal team and over time gain increasing responsibility over M&A projects (~60%) and strategic projects (~40%), incl. ownership of the company’s long-range plan (LRP).
  • Opportunity Evaluation: Conduct in-depth evaluation, and take ownership of investment business plan and valuation.
  • M&A Project Management: Collaborate closely with cross-functional workstreams and ensure broad engagement of various teams (i.e. legal, tax, regulatory, portfolio, R&D, commercial teams, etc.) in transactions.
  • Build an advanced understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, through interacting with expert teams.
  • Deal Origination: Build a network of contacts among pharmaceutical companies, brokers, business owners, and investment banks.
  • Contract Negotiation: In cooperation with legal advisors, review and negotiation of contract terms. Ensure that due diligence findings and commercial points are reflected in contracts.
  • Integrations: Drive post-acquisition integration, ensuring synergies and strategic goals are realized.
  • Strategy Deployment: Drive specific strategic projects in the Zentiva Roadmap and support with the strategy refresh process
  • Business Planning: Be a core member of the team building the overall Zentiva 5 year plan

The role is part of the broader Strategy & Transformation team and may participate also in other strategy-related projects on an ad-hoc basis.You are well positioned to succeed in this role if:

  • You have the analytical rigor to prepare complex business models in Excel. Experience with valuation methods is an advantage.
  • You have excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach. You help to resolve situations that are out of daily business and the comfort zone of project teams.
  • You are an effective communicator, capable of fostering relationships within project teams while confidently engaging senior stakeholders.
  • You have proven experience with M&A projects (i.e. Big4 transaction advisory) or other structured transactions (i.e. Business Development & Licensing). You should have 3+ years in relevant position(s) and 5+ years of experience in total.
  • You have the drive to have a career in M&A and the flexibility to work on demanding projects with tight timelines.
