Our focus in Direct Procurement is to drive growth for Novonesis through close collaboration across the supply chain and vendors. We strive to balance value creation, cost, sustainability, and risk for the betterment of Novonesis.We are closely linked to our Global Direct Procurement organization, which is responsibility for all raw materials for production, utilities, CMO, and insourced materials. Direct Procurement, Europe is the largest region and carries a regional responsibility within a global context. Our team is expanding and consists of 9 highly skilled and dedicated professionals supporting our 6 different categories in a global category team. The global category team comprises procurement colleagues situated at Novonesis’ key production sites across Europe, Asia Pacific, India, North America, and South America.In this role you’ll make an impact by:Driving Scope 3 decarbonization initiatives in close collaboration with suppliers and Category ManagersClose stakeholder management across Procurement Sustainability Program Manager, Corporate Sustainability and Operation SustainabiltyExecution of supplier engagement and follow-through on agreed carbon reduction activitiesTranslating decarbonization ambitions into practical action plans, and following up to secure measurable progress at supplier levelFacilitating data collection and ensuring supplier transparency to enable tracking of Scope 3 emissions reductionsSupporting daily procurement operations where decarbonization is integrated into sourcing, contracting, and supplier selectionTo succeed, you could potentially possess:A master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Sustainability, Engineering, Supply Chain, Environmental Sciences) with 0–3 years of experiencePassion for sustainability and a hands-on approach to decarbonization in supply chainsUnderstanding of supplier operations, manufacturing processes, and their link to carbon emissionsFamiliarity with Scope 3 emissions, value chain collaboration, and decarbonization levers such as renewable energy, material substitution, and process optimizationA structured and persistent mindset—comfortable following through from concept to executionEffective communication and stakeholder management skills across internal functions and external suppliersA global outlook and motivation to drive change in a complex and evolving procurement environmentIf you are interested in joining our team, please apply and let’s explore how your skills and values align with ours!Application deadline: 28 June, 2025 – applicants will be screened continuously.Contact details: For more information please contact Elisabeth Villumsen, Senior Manager Direct Procurement Europe & India, , or via +45 30772478.Could our purpose be yours?
