I further attest that all information I submit in my employment application is true to the best of my knowledge.Job DescriptionThe Development Engineer is responsible for leading and managing engineering operations related to the development of robust, sustainable, and cost-effective processes. This role supports Takeda’s mission by ensuring high standards of purity and quality in production processes.Key responsibilities:

• Conducting and evaluating experiments with animal cell cultures (working with shake flasks, spinners, bioreactors, in-process measurements, filtrations, etc.) while maintaining time and quality standards.
• Operating and monitoring complex technical systems, including bioreactors, process control systems, and analytical instruments.
• Precise documentation of experiments and results according to Good Documentation Practice (GDP) guidelines in written and electronic form.
• Compiling and maintaining experimental raw data.
• Work in a team and take responsibility for higher-level tasks such as ordering consumables and equipment, or shipping materials and samples

Key requirements:

• MSc degree in Life Sciences (e.g. Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Chemistry) or B.Sc / Higher technical education with 2+ years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience in working with animal cell cultures, cell banking, bioreactors, or similar laboratory activities.
• Good organization skills and attention to details
• Very good MS-Office skills
• Team work oriented mindset
• Excellent German and English skills (spoken and written).
• Willingness to work in a BSL-1 laboratory.
