Quicklinks is widely used by parents, teachers, and librarians across the world.Visit our Quicklinks page .The RoleWe’re looking for someone to lead and manage everything to do with Quicklinks. This is a wide-ranging, varied role with a mix of project coordination, digital content management, and editorial oversight. The role works closely with our Digital, Editorial, IT and Marketing teams. You’ll oversee the systems, processes, workflows and quality controls that keep Quicklinks running smoothly. Working with the Digital Director on the Quicklinks strategy, you’ll also manage a small team (currently a part-time research editor and 2 freelance researchers).Key responsibilitiesDevelop and manage the overall Quicklinks schedule, ensuring new titles are planned, links are delivered on time, and updates are made regularlyOversee a small in-house and freelance team of researchers and contributorsKeep project plans and tracking systems (e.g. Asana) up to date and accurateEnsure all content meets Usborne’s standards of child-safety, relevance and qualityContinue to develop our guidelines on which books are suitable for Quicklinks, using Google Analytics and QR cost usage data to inform strategy and prioritisationWrite/ edit web copy for Quicklinks so the links sound appealingWrite Quicklinks copy inside books to describe what types of content users can expectWith help from other team members, ensure Quicklinks content is accurately entered into our website content management system and displayed correctly onWorking with the rest of the Digital team, make sure the Quicklinks area of the website is well structured and easy to useWhat we’re looking forYou might currently be working in digital project coordination, web operations, content or digital publishing. You may have a background in education, libraries or editorial – but with a strong interest in digital processes, structured working, and delivering a high-quality online user experience.Whatever your background you will need to be:Highly organised, practical and systematic – with a strong sense of processA strong communicator with great writing and editing skillsDigitally literate – confident using systems and technology, excel spreadsheets, and structured workflowsAnalytical and detail-oriented, with a head for tracking tasks and maintaining standardsCurious and creative, with a good sense of what children, parents and teachers find engagingExperienced in managing 1-2 people and great at working across different teams within an organisationExperience with website content management systems, Google Analytics, or project management tools like Asana would be a bonus – but full training is available.Location and BenefitsWe offer a 35-hour working week from our offices in Farringdon, London.
