Job description: Offer DescriptionThe research group of Prof. Dimitrios Papadopoulos at the University of Würzburg investigates RNA-based mechanisms of tumor maintenance. We are currently looking for an ambitious PhD candidate with an outstanding background in Life sciences.The position is funded by a Starting Grant of the European Research Council (ERC) (“TerSor”). The project will be carried out in the vibrant Biocenter of the University of Würzburg (biozentrum.uni-wuerzburg.de/en/molbio).The succesful candidate will investigate how the MYCN oncoprotein enables aggressive pediatric cancers to grow rapidly and evade the host immune system via its recently discovered RNA-binding function.We offer

Your profile
- Excellent MSc degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
- Wet-lab experience in one of these fields.
- Fluency in written/spoken English (minimum C1 level), knowledge of German is not required.
- Prior experience in bioinformatics is advantageous.
