We celebrate diversity, promote inclusivity and are open to discuss flexible work options to help you balance your work and home life.Join the Close Brothers Motor Finance Ireland Team where you will focus on reviewing and implementing improved financial control processes (e.g. Balance sheet reconciliation), reviewing and creating new governance processes (e.g. Bank account mandates), producing appropriate documentation of processes and playing a critical role in the delivery of the audit and statutory accounts for the business. Working as part of the Motor Finance Ireland team our ideal team member will have previous experience in creating controls to help identify any potential risks with a strong Financial control background.RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work alongside Financial Controller to review existing processes within Financial Control team and report on key finding and recommended improvements
• Implement improved balance sheet reconciliations to enhance controls within the team and whilst doing so create a sustainable automated reconciliation process moving forwards
• Create controls to help identify any potential risks e.g. trend analysis
• Support the implementation of improved Financials governance. For example, ensuring appropriate review and sign offs are in place and a review of Bank authorisation process
• Act as a key point of contact with external auditors and internal teams to support the delivery of the audit and statutory accounts
• Preparation of the statutory accounts for the entity including documentation of supporting information for the financial statements
• Maintain a tracker on progress of key items and present to senior stakeholders on progress made
• Review associated operational processes when completing balance sheet reconciliation and raise suggested areas of improvement
• Collaborate and build strong working relations with the ROI Finance and business teams
• Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

• Previous experience preparing statutory accounts
• A strong Financial control background

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

• Experience using Alteryx
• Experience using SAP (company general ledger)
