Job description: Hybrid | 7 months | Multinational Tech CompanyOur client is looking for a highly motivated, dynamix finance professional to join their Controllership team. The team is focused on statutory and tax governance for a group of their companies legal entities, effective termination of entities, as well as leading key strategic projects and initiatives from a statutory, tax, and legal entity perspective.Responsibilities:Statutory Accounting Integrity and Accuracy:

  • Driving reporting excellence supporting annual financial statements, audit coordination, and US GAAP legal entity review for various countries.
  • Support onboarding of new entities into standard models and processes.

Tax Compliance & Advisory:

  • Ensure timely, accurate tax filings and payments in conjunction with local providers.
  • Support of local tax audit audits in conjunction with local providers and International Tax Team.

Legal Entity Governance:

  • Effectively manage closure of statutory entities and ensure finance readiness of legal entities in the country.

Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with external auditors and advisors for statutory accounting and tax compliance.
  • Engagement with Corporate Accounting, Treasury and Legal Teams on termination process for applicable entities.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with local tax authorities and government agencies (managed through local providers).
  • Partnership across global team

Process Excellence & Automation:

  • Engage with our outsourced finance team to enhance global processes, stop doing, identify automation opportunities and implement new accounting standards.
  • Annually review scope of work and desk top procedures for shared service providers. Identify opportunities to standardize and automate processes.

Other Statutory Reporting and Advisory

  • Cash Management and forecasting.
  • Review and approval of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support of people related queries for entities with headcount (volume expected to be low) engaging with Accenture, HR and Payroll Teams.
  • Land global and local projects, with proper statutory accounting infrastructure and registration, and in compliance with local tax regulations & global processes.
  • Provide support for the local business operations on the implementation of these projects.
  • Responsible for other government reporting obligations (e.g. statistical surveys, data queries, bank reporting, inspections, etc).

Job qualifications:

  • Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Minimum 4-5 years’ finance and accounting experience in a large organization. Strong technical working knowledge.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing Annual Financial Statements and managing external audits.
  • Experience reviewing tax computations and filings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience exercising mature judgment and best practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills; ability to communicate complex analysis in a clear, simple way
  • Strong partnering capabilities with proven ability to influence and collaborate across groups
  • Proven success managing and prioritizing multiple projects across a fast-paced and continually changing environment
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and autonomous with ability to quickly identify what needs to be accomplished and resourcefulness to accomplish
