FRS Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading Irish Civil Engineering organisation in their search for a Financial Accountant to join their senior finance team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of a well-established and forward-thinking company.About the RoleReporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Financial Accountant will be a key member of the finance team. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, providing leadership and strategic insight while ensuring robust financial governance and reporting.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage teams to deliver internal and external reporting requirements.
- Prepare and analyse Group Financial Statements to strict deadlines.
- Develop financial forecasts for the group and its subsidiaries.
- Produce trading updates and strategic commentary.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and leadership.
- Oversee the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure effective financial controls and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
- Support business development and strategic projects.
- Mentor and develop finance team members.
- Engage with key internal and external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking ForEssential:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Minimum 7+ years’ post-qualification experience.
Desirable:
- Strong technical accounting expertise.
- Construction/Engineering Industry experience.
- Commercial acumen with experience in strategic financial projects.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in a complex environment.
- Knowledge of Irish tax legislation.
- Project management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
