Job description: Job Title: Financial AccountantLocation: Cork, IrelandDepartment: FinanceReports To: Financial DirectorJob Type: Temporary contract (3-6 months)Job Summary:We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, year-end accounts and future forecasts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This role plays a critical part in supporting the business through financial reporting and analysis.Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cashflow.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support external audit processes.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Support ad hoc finance projects as required.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA).
• 2+ years post-qualification experience in a similar financial accounting role.
• Strong understanding of Irish tax and accounting standards.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
