Job description: Ribbon’s Business Commercial unit is seeking a Global Commercial Services Manager to advance our service offerings in networking solutions and better serve network operators.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to design and implement a new, efficient services process that delivers optimal pricing, proposal quality, and rapid turnaround on critical new business opportunities.The Commercial Services team is shaping the future of our services proposals and playing a pivotal role in the successful evolution of our company.We are looking for a networking design professional with expertise in developing service proposals across IP, Optical, and Software domains. This role requires close collaboration with the Sales organization, key customers, and internal stakeholders.Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the running of cost and margin analysis on direct service proposals. Provide feedback and recommendations to Sales, SEs, PLM and BM colleagues
- Work closely with Partners WW to develop price lists to simplify quoting process and improve turn-around time.
- Develop tools to simplify and optimize the process vs manual manipulation of spreadsheets.
- Develop strategy to properly track and archive proposals as well as define method to run analytics on proposals to help understand trends in pricing and win take rate.
- Develop new and pro services offering
- Supervise and guide the Automatization of services quotes and harmonize in the system
- Drive services deal approval and review process in Sales Force.
Required Skills: * Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality proposals and documents under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills and experience and the ability to work well with various cross-functional groups across the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work closely within a small team as well as independently.
- Ability to multitask and maintain excellent attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of the proposal process
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with relevant software programs (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of and demonstrated expertise with Salesforce.com a plus, including ability to conduct sales opportunity analysis and prepare financial summary information and documentation.
- 2 to 5 years’ experience as a service manager and case analysis in a high-tech environment, preferably in a solutions-based firm selling customized suites of hardware, software, and services.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (EE a plus)
- Master’s degree in business – advantage
