Job description: Head of Transformation – Financial ServicesJob DescriptionReporting to C Suite this role will lead the Transformation team overseeing a large scale change initiative, with responsibility for the delivery of key projects. This will be achieved by developing and ensuring adherence to a project and change governance framework, incorporating effective controls for the successful execution of the transformation and change agenda, with a view to creating a customer centric approach within a strict regulatory framework.Experience required for this role :
Minimum 10 years working in a similar role or consultancy firm delivering on strategy, change and transformation.
Extensive leadership experience with a background coaching leadership teams.
Prior experience and success in delivering companywide transformation in a regulated financial services environment
Experience in delivering large complex IT projects with multiple stakeholders
Experience of applying outside inside in learnings and best practices to drive change.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the change management agenda to realise large complex business transformation including systems development and integration with multiple software providers for the purpose of delivering a new business operating model.
Directing and orchestrating the overall programme to optimise delivery and benefit realisation
Direct oversight of data transformation initiatives (project related) in conjunction with the digital and technology teams and other external stakeholders as required
Maintain oversight across the transformation programme
Oversee and align interdependencies across projects including PM and BA resources
Facilitate Steering Group meetings. Establish a change governance forum to accept and approve changes in line with management board approval and key stakeholder inputs
Responsible for overall portfolio direction & prioritisation and communication to the business
Identify and develop risk mitigation and create resolution recommendations
Challenge delivery, quality & output
Highlight key products to accelerate delivery or mitigate risks
Targeted Intervention & Content Support
Proactively intervene to support completion of critical projects
Foster a change delivery culture within the organisation
Supporting creation of inputs for programme meetings
Ensuring dependencies and interdependencies are identified and enterprise synergies are realised.
Support workstreams and SME input on topics such as HR, finance and compliance
Lead PMO and project management function and oversee financials.
Liaison between projects to ensure efficiencies
Manage overall plan, status reporting & governance
Highlight risks & challenges for escalation/support
Define & support practical application of tools and approach (reporting etc.)
Coordinate inputs for and outputs (agreements/actions) of programme meetings
Manage and track benefit delivery
Key Skills
Excellent business analytical and project management skills to structure, distil and evaluate complex information and manage change
Experience with large-scale organizational change effort
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of senior stakeholder audiences.
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
