Job description: Are you a qualified accountant looking to kick on your career in Audit ? I’m teaming up with a global insurance provider who are looking to hire an Internal Audit Manager for their newly created Audit function!You’ll lead end-to-end audit delivery, working with Group Audit and the Head of Audit to plan and scope audits, assess risks, and apply the right techniques. You’ll produce high-quality outcomes, guide the team, identify key themes, and support reporting to Boards and Audit Committees.Responsibilites:

  • Audit Planning & Execution: Develop and enhance a risk-based audit plan, ensuring emerging risks are addressed, and deliver high-quality audits within scope, time, and budget
  • Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and support regulatory compliance, addressing any matters raised by regulators
  • Reporting & Insights: Prepare and present audit findings and insights to senior management and the Life Audit Committee, highlighting key trends and risk mitigation actions
  • Collaboration & Integrity: Promote a culture of collaboration, ethics, and integrity by working effectively across teams and adhering to audit methodology and quality standards
  • Continuous Learning & Innovation: Take ownership of personal development by enhancing skills in areas such as data, IT, and GenAI, while role-modelling a growth mindset and future-ready capabilities

Skills and experience required:

  • Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s or master’s degree and/or relevant professional qualification , with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management or Compliance-ideally within Insurance or Financial Services
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Internal Audit standards, methodologies, and control frameworks, with excellent report writing skills and a good understanding of Life and P&C insurance
  • Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement: Proven ability to build and influence relationships across all levels, with experience engaging with regulators or external stakeholders considered an advantage
  • Project & Team Leadership: Strong project management capabilities, able to lead, organise, prioritise, and coach audit teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on time
  • Growth & Digital Mindset: Enthusiastic about personal and team development, with a strong grasp of emerging skills in Data, IT, and AI, and fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
