Job description: Port Technology International (PTI) is seeking an ambitious and experienced International Business Development Manager to join our growing commercial team. As a market-leading media and events company within the global ports and terminals sector, we produce world-class digital content, business intelligence, and live and virtual events that connect senior stakeholders across the maritime supply chain.This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven sales professional with a strong track record in B2B event sponsorship and digital product sales, ideally within the maritime, logistics, transport, or technology sectors. - Drive revenue across digital media, technical journal advertising, sponsored webinars, in-person and virtual events.
- Sell bespoke sponsorship packages to international clients and collaborate with them to build tailored solutions that align with their marketing goals.
- Identify and close new business opportunities while nurturing and growing long-term client accounts.
- Develop deep relationships with senior decision-makers across the maritime and logistics space.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and prospective clients.
- Achieve and exceed individual and team KPIs and revenue targets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, content, and event operations teams to ensure campaign success and client satisfaction.
- Represent PTI at key industry events and meetings (international travel required).
RequirementsIdeal Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3-4 years of proven success in B2B sales — with a strong focus on digital media and/or sponsorship sales.
- Experience working with clients in the maritime, transport, technology, or related sectors.
- Strategic, consultative sales approach and confidence in engaging with senior-level executives.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to prospect, pitch, and close deals independently.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to craft compelling value propositions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally for meetings and events.
