SoeborgAre you a Medical Doctor with an interest in clinical development of pharmaceutical drugs, medical devices and software as medical devices? Would you like to be part of our medical and scientific team supporting our portfolio of medical device projects across diverse therapeutic areas?Then we offer you this 9-month temporary contract as a medical specialist in Medical & Science Devices & Digital health.Your new roleAs an International Medical Manager your key responsibility will be providing medical input to support device development.Other responsibilities will include:

• Conduct Clinical Evaluations of medical devices, during which you leverage your clinical background, and scientific understanding to evaluate the safety, performance, benefits, and potential risks of the device in scope
• Review and provide medical input to key documents related to design and development of medical devices
• Assess the need for clinical trials and establish clinical development programs

In this position you will have a high degree of independence, and decisions taken have a high degree of business impact. In addition, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders within Novo Nordisk’s global organization and countries all over the globe. The position includes limited traveling activity and hybrid option.Your new department
Medical & Science Devices & Digital health has the medical responsibility over the growing portfolio of medical devices in Novo Nordisk. This includes drug delivery devices, such as pen-injectors, devices with connectivity features, injection needles and SaMD. The responsibility of the department covers the entire device lifecycle from early research to post-approval life-cycle management.We work in a highly cross-organizational fashion, typically at the interface between drug and device development. Our interactions involve a multitude of internal stakeholders with diverse backgrounds including device R&D, Clinical Reporting, Risk managers, System engineers, Commercial, Clinical Operations, Marketing and Regulatory Affairs. Our key external stakeholders are the medical and scientific community, medical experts and regulatory authorities. Our team consists of 17 medical doctors. As a team, we highly value knowledge sharing, mutual support, and team spirit.Your skills & qualificationsTo be a competitive candidate, you should have:

• A university degree as a Medical Doctor and scientific training at PhD level or similar
• Experience with clinical development of pharmaceutical products, medical devices, or Software as Medical Device development (SaMD) is an advantage
• A flexible, open-minded and a dedicated team player with the ability to take on an informal leadership role
• Effective communication, coordination, and planning capabilities, with the ability to drive complex discussions involving diverse teams
• Thrive in a global environment of continuous and fast development with focus on high quality and results
• Written and verbal proficiency in English
