Job description: We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading facility seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the smooth and safe running of its operations.Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining site facilities and production equipment. From preventative maintenance to troubleshooting and continuous improvement, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring optimal equipment performance across the plant.Key Responsibilities;Operational SupportPerform scheduled and reactive maintenance on plant equipment and site facilitiesDiagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faultsCarry out general maintenance: plumbing, painting, tiling, carpentry, basic building worksSupport production line start-ups and liaise with vendors during installations and upgradesAssist in documentation, maintenance records, and standard operating proceduresMentor production staff in first-level maintenance and safety best practicesCoordination & ImprovementCollaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve uptime and OEESupport maintenance scheduling and maintain service logs for audit complianceLiaise with suppliers and contractors to deliver work to standard and on timeWork with procurement to implement a robust spares system and reduce lead-time downtimeContribute to lean and 5S initiatives across the siteWhat We’re Looking For;Essential3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or process-driven environmentStrong multi-trade skills across electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenanceFamiliar with maintenance scheduling and documentation practicesExcellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilitiesConfident with digital or paper-based maintenance systemsDesirableExperience supporting spares management systemsFamiliarity with SOP creation and equipment documentationForklift or material handling certificationExperience training or mentoring operators🎓 QualificationsCertification in mechanical and/or electrical engineeringHealth & Safety certifications (e.g. Safe Pass, Manual Handling)Forklift license/training (advantageous)BenefitsBike to Work SchemeEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)On-Site ParkingContinuous development and training opportunities📩 Apply Now!If you’re a proactive technician ready to contribute to a sustainable future through engineering excellence, we’d love to hear from you.
