This pivotal role will provide strategic oversight across Rare Disease and Neuroscience, ensuring alignment with our brand strategy and medical budget. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional team members both here and in the UK to develop medical strategies, plans, and tactics tailored to the Irish market. You’ll also guide the development and implementation of integrated data generation plans, including the medical assessment and approval of clinical study synopses and protocols.This position is ideal for an experienced professional in medical affairs who is eager to contribute their strategic insights and expertise to a growing and thriving organization. If you are passionate about making a difference and working closely with commercial and market access counterparts, we would love to hear from you.Role responsibilities:Scientific Knowledge (including product, disease, competitive, trials and publications):Has experience and breadth of knowledge of the therapy areas, clinical management of the diseases, Ipsen products, all relevant Ipsen competitors, trials, and publications, and is able to critically appraise these data within the context of the role.Can use scientific understanding to apply the Ipsen strategy and can recognize and escalate partnering opportunities.Knowledge of Data Generation (including clinical trials design and execution):Understands different types of clinical trials design, execution, and ability to analyse and critically appraise.Understands the needs of patients and investigators.Able to manage with support CSS and ISS.Medical Information (MI) & Safety Knowledge and Management:Collaborates with MI and safety teams to gain insights and proposes collaboration opportunities.Has knowledge on GVP obligations applicable in addition to PV obligations in their country.Insight Generation:Has a deep understanding and capability to identify and proactively gather strategically relevant insights via different channels and to identify new ways to gather specific insights.External Stakeholder Management (identification, mapping, collaboration & partnership):Ability to engage a broad set of healthcare stakeholders in the highest level of scientific exchange, tailored to individual needs/preferences.Able to set up and review valuable TL engagement and communication plans reflecting the cross-functional work.Ability to set up strategic engagement via different digital channels based on their needs and to use digital technologies to improve service delivery.Scientific Communication and Presentation Skills (data dissemination):Anticipates the needs of stakeholders and communicates scientific data effectively.
