Job description: Under the Partnerships, Advocacy, Engagement and Resource Mobilization (PAER), there is a pillar for business development and fundraising. The pillar also accounts for DRC’s global strategic partnerships and engagement, known as the Global Foundations & Institutional Donors (GFID). The GFID team is comprised of 12 colleagues working with either Institutional Donors or Foundations based in Copenhagen, Berlin, Brussels, Geneva and Kyiv. DRC funds come from a variety of sources – institutional donors such as the European Commission, UN agencies, and bilateral humanitarian and development funding envelopes from major donor countries, but increasingly also foundations both Danish and International. While most funds are raised at country and regional level, GFID section is accountable for ensuring that DRC has a high-quality, centralized and harmonized approach to its donors. Together with the rest of the department, the GFID team is working to increase DRC’s capacity and ambition to scope, expand, deepen, and strengthen partnerships and fundraising activities.About the jobThe aim of the role is to support the Global Foundations and Institutional Donors (GFID) team with a wide variety of activities in support of the Senior Partnership Advisors working across USG, DANIDA, EU, SIDA, German and Foundation partnerships. This will also include working on other institutional donors that DRC receives funding from. You will work closely with GFID colleagues in HQ, as well as HQ Hubs and Country Offices.Main duties and responsibilities:1) Global Foundations (50%):· Support the scoping and mapping of Foundations that are relevant to the Global Foundations strategy, including researching focus areas, geographic priorities, and grant opportunities for DRC focus areas and programming.· Support in the identification of opportunities and support when relevant in the coordination and / or development of proposals and concept note submissions.· S upport in the preparation for high-level meetings between Partnership Advisors, Senior management and Foundations, including briefings, agendas, and note-taking.2) Institutional Donors (Netherlands MFA and non-core donors) (25%):· Focal point for the Dutch and related tasks to partnership management of the portfolio and strategic compliance, and knowledge and intel on non-priority and other selected donors, helping to identify and escalate key challenges or opportunities, and sharing relevant updates with HQ Hubs and Country Offices.Cross-cutting tasks (25%)3) GFID Strategic Processes:· Support the maintenance and regular updating of the GFID workplans in close collaboration with the Head of GFID, ensuring timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables are clearly tracked.4) Business Development:· Support the roll-out of a due diligence system for new donors, including coordination with relevant teams and compiling necessary documentation.· Assist in developing and maintaining business development templates and resource libraries in collaboration with PAER HQ Hubl, country and programme colleagues and Help identify gaps in business development tools and processes and contribute to the implementation of actions to address these gaps.5) Other Responsibilities:· Review the Institutional Donor pages on Insite and provide suggestions for improving structure, formatting, and content to ensure clarity, consistency, and user-friendliness.About youWe are looking for a proactive and systematic person, who can work independently but who also works well with others. The position is temporary due to availability of funds.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC and the relevant organisation.
