Join our Pharmacovigilance team as Pharmacovigilance Officer VIE and you’ll be the primary responsible person for local management of PV data. You ensure handling of PV data for the whole product portfolio of Sanofi Austria, received from various sources, and in compliance with applicable internal guidelines and procedures and the European and Austrian regulations.In the context of PV data management, you will closely collaborate with global Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance (PSPV), the global PV outsourcing partner, internal and external stakeholders including patients and healthcare professionals (HCPs), and the Austrian National Competent Authority. You will be responsible to compliantly track, record and follow-up on PV information received locally, and for handling inquiries from global teams.The PV Officer VIE supports the Country Safety Head (CSH) and local PSPV team in all areas of the local PV system, with a strong focus on continuous learning as well as professional and personal development. You will actively contribute to the maintenance of the local PV system and the continuous improvement of PV processes through teamwork and independent and solution-oriented action. Along the course of your mission, you acquire additional tasks and responsibilities, based on gain of knowledge and experience.The PV Officer VIE is given a structured and comprehensive onboarding and is fully integrated into the highly qualified PSPV Austria team.   • End-to-end management of PV information from various sources, including intake, processing, tracking, follow-up with reporters.
  • Internal and external communication, and reconciliation with internal and external partners.
  • Support of the CSH and PV team in all areas of the PV system (e.g., local implementation of risk minimization measures, management of studies and programs, digital properties).
  • Compliance with and implementation of regulatory and internal requirements and guidelines, and training of internal staff and external partners.
  • Office management, operating in a strictly regulated environment, with agile workload and time management.
  • Cross-departmental, cross-country and interregional networking and collaboration.
  • Connecting regulatory compliance with corporate business needs.

About youExperience:

  • Previous work experience in pharmacovigilance, pharmacy, nursing or medicine are appreciated but not required.

Technical and soft skills:

  • High team competence, solution orientation, ability to work under pressure, resilience, reliability, flexibility, communication skills, motivated and positive attitude.
  • Structured work, time management, (self-)organization, independent work, high sense of responsibility, accuracy.
  • MS Office, general adept handling of IT Systems and digital mindset.

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in life sciences (medicine, pharmacy, biology, nutritional sciences or similar) are preferred but not a must.

Languages:

  • German is a must (minimum B2 level – fluency in speech and writing).
  • English (fluency in speech and writing).
