  • Teaching in the fields of machine learning and computational neuroscience. Independent teaching of compulsory courses in these areas for the degree programs Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Engineering, as well as courses from the Machine Learning elective catalog for Master’s programs in the above-mentioned fields of study, among others
  • Supervision of projects, bachelor’s theses and master’s theses
  • Research in the fields of machine learning and computational neuroscience
  • Publication of research results in relevant journals and at conferences
  • Writing a subject-specific dissertation
  • Managing and updating software for simulations
  • Assisting with the management of projects and administration at the institute

Your Profile

  • Experience in the simulation of spiking neural networks
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of German desirable
  • Very good communication skills and the ability to work carefully in a scientific environment
  • Experience in assisting in university teaching is desirable (e.g. tutoring, supporting activities).
  • The willingness and ability to teach courses in the fields of machine learning and computational neuroscience is expected.

Its research integrates methods from mathematics, computer science and computational neuroscience. In teaching, the institute is responsible for courses and seminars that introduce students to the basic techniques and results of theoretical computer science.
