Job description: What you will do as Physical Security Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres)As a Physical Security Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing integrated security strategies for our mission critical facility clients. You will work across strategic, tactical, and operational levels to ensure that security measures are not only effective but also aligned with broader organizational goals. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in physical security who are eager to grow within a knowledge-driven environment.Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk analyses to identify strategic threats and inform long-term security planning;
  • Translate strategic insights into tactical security policies, frameworks, and guidelines;
  • Design operational security measures tailored to specific risks and business processes;
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless integration of security solutions;
  • Monitor, evaluate, and refine implemented measures to support continuous improvement.

As our new Physical Security Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres) you will become part of our Global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team.Our global MCF team provides multidisciplinary consultancy services to data centre clients, including colocation datacentres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. The team is diverse, with expertise in areas like electrical and mechanical engineering, construction, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology. Together, this knowledge is used to develop integrated designs for Data Centres. You will be part of a dedicated, passionate team that is globally recognized as one of the best in Data Centre design and engineering. With a strong sense of planning and oversight, you bring creativity to the development of new services and solutions. You stay ahead of trends in your field and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others. While you are a true team player, you are also confident working independently on complex physical security challenges.Your profile:

  • A completed technical bachelor’s or master’s degree (e.g. in Electrical Engineering or Security Management);
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a security-focused environment;
  • Strong communication and advisory skills and a proactive mindset and eagerness to keep learning;
  • Currently living in Hessen, Germany, with flexibility towards travelling to the Netherlands when needed to align with the global team;
  • Familiarity with security systems and design tools such as Revit and AutoCAD.
