Job description: We invite applications for a postdoc position in the field of cardiac fibrosis as per September 1st 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is a fixed-term full time position ending on Nov 30th 2027.We are looking for an exceptional candidate with interdisciplinary skills ranging from animal experimentation to in vitro cell culture expertise. It is crucial that the candidate is interested in working in an interdisciplinary environment with partners from both industry and academia.Information on the department can be found at:About the research projectCardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death. Despite the prominent role of cardiac fibrosis in disease progression, there are currently no approved treatments for this. A major obstacle is a lack of translational disease models and inability to follow the dynamic processes of fibrosis during disease progression and treatment. In this project the successful candidate will as a part of a team working on developing a leading-edge platform for testing anti-fibrotic treatments and biomarkers. The project is funded by the Open Discovery Innovation Network (ODIN)Your job responsibilitiesYour position as a postdoc in cardiac physiology is primarily research-based but will also involve teaching assignments. You will contribute to the development of the department through research in high international quality. Our research facilities include modern laboratories and state-of-the-art techniques.Terms of employmentThe position is a fixed-term full-time position ending on November 30th 2027.The starting date is September 1st, 2025 or soon after.Salary, pension and other conditions of employment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). Currently, the monthly salary starts at 38,575 DKK/approx. 5,170 EUR (April 2024 level). Depending on qualifications, a supplement may be negotiated.
