RCSI is also committed to provide its researchers with the supports and developmental opportunities to enable them to continuously grow and support their overall career development.Summary of PostThis project is a Health Research Board (HRB) funded Knowledge Translation Award, which was awarded to Prof Helen French, Associate Professor in Physiotherapy ( ), who is the Principal Investigator on this project and is supported by a multidisciplinary research team.This award is linked with a feasibility randomised controlled trial (LEAP-Ireland) , which evaluated education and exercise for people with gluteal tendinopathy. This Knowledge Translation Award aims to create an online educational resource with the help of a public and patient involvement (PPI) panel, made up of people with gluteal tendinopathy. The panel, along with clinical and research experts, will help decide the format (e.g., video, booklet, or web resource) and content of this resource, which will be developed and disseminated over the course of the project duration. The project manager will work with the Principal Investigator (PI), research team and PPI panel to develop the content and format of this resource, and design and implement dissemination.Specifically, the duties of the post are:§ Work with the Principal Investigator (PI), research team and PPI panel to ensure the project deliverables are met§ Develop Standard Operating Procedures§ Administrative tasks such as setting up team meetings, setting agenda and taking minutes; preparing trial briefing reports on a regular basis.§ Assist in the dissemination of completed education resource to scientific, professional and lay audiences§ Engage in performance development and participate in training and development programmes.§ Report directly to the PIQualifications – (Essential):§ PhD in musculoskeletal related field or a musculoskeletal CORU-registered chartered physiotherapistKnowledge & Experience – (Essential):§ Knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions, such as gluteal tendinopathy§ Some experience of communicating science and health content for general audiences§ Strong project planning, organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise objectives and produce results§ Excellent editorial and writing skills, with a keen eye for detail§ Ability to work to deadlines§ Ability to work well independently and collaboratively as part of a team§ Excellent written, oral, and presentation skillsWe are all too aware that imposter syndrome and the confidence gap can sometimes stop fantastic candidates putting themselves forward, so please do submit an application – we’d love to hear from you.Application ProcessPlease apply online through the RCSI careers portal on the closing date with your CV and cover letter.Informal Enquiries can be directed to Prof Helen French at .
