To be in with the best chance of securing a role, please submit your application ASAP.#FutureTalent #FTGraduatesThis role does not meet the requirements for visa sponsorship and candidates therefore must have the Right To Work in UK for duration of programme.Job DescriptionWhat does the team do?The Workplace Savings Product team are responsible for the development, ongoing maintenance and governance of Legal & General’s market-leading UK Defined Contribution (DC), contract and trust-based, workplace pension and retail savings products.They are responsible for developing new solutions that meet customers’ needs and are commercially attractive for our customers, clients and shareholders. Through their work, they help millions of customers to plan and save for their future, so that they can enjoy their retirement.The team enable employers, trustees and advisers to meet the requirements of auto-enrolment legislation via competitively priced, high-quality products that adapt and evolve as the savings and pension landscape changes. We also provide direct to consumer saving solutions via our Personal Pension and Stocks & Shares Individual Savings Account (ISA).What you’ll be doingOur Graduate Programme has been designed to give you the fundamental experience and skill set to excel at L&G. You’ll join with a cohort of graduates and take part in our thoughtfully designed Induction Programme, providing you with insights about our business and helping you connect with your new peers to grow your professional network.In this role, you will join us on a full-time permanent basis and receive on the job training and coaching from your line manager and team to help you expand on both your business acumen and Investment skills.Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the team with the ongoing development and management of our products / propositions to ensure they continue to meet the needs, characteristics and objectives of customers in our stated target market.
- Developing and maintaining working, up-to-date knowledge of current, new and evolving products / propositions, as well as understanding the impact of changes in the legislative and regulatory environment.
- Supporting regular value for money assessments across all products / propositions and escalating any identified fair value concerns to enable appropriate action to be taken
- Managing the team’s internal mailbox, answering queries, and escalating as necessary, within the agreed timescales. This will support in learning the breadth of the role quickly.
- Supporting the team’s adherence to the Risk Management Framework, ensuring identified risks recorded on the central risk management system are regularly reviewed and consistently managed.
- Maintaining a central library of product and proposition developments to demonstrate compliance with internal and regulatory policy and process across Workplace Savings.
- Supporting, building, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders involved in the day-to-day operation of our products and propositions.
Most importantly you will be learning new skills and gaining knowledge of how our business works!QualificationsFirst and foremost, we are looking for graduates with an inquisitive mind and a desire to learn. We’re not expecting prior industry experience, but we’ll want to see that you have the tools to develop quickly.These include:
- Achieved 2.1 Degree in any subject – we are open to all subject backgrounds
- Curious, motivated and have a desire to progress a career in pensions, savings and investments
- High levels of energy, dynamism and commitment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong attention to detail
- Analytical mind-set
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively
