Job description: Product ManagerWe are seeking a detail-oriented, innovative, and collaborative Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will ensure successful execution and delivery of initiatives that enhance data handling practices, mitigate risk, and ensure regulatory alignment.Summary:As a Product Manager, you will oversee the creation and administration of data-centric solutions, effectively connecting business requirements with technical execution. You will be responsible for requirements analysis, backlog management, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring successful solutions delivery within an Agile framework.Key responsibilities * Requirements Analysis and Backlog Management
- Translate business requirements into actionable user stories and detailed technical specifications.
- Conduct structured analysis, including data mapping and lineage, gap analysis and system assessment, field-level data handling and transformation rules.
- Create and maintain a prioritised backlog aligned with Program Increment (PI) commitments, business priorities, and strategic goals.
- Refine user stories progressively throughout the Program Increment, ensuring alignment with the INVEST criteria.
- Proactively identify and address potential blockers, collaborating with stakeholders to facilitate a smooth refinement process.
- Partner with Quality Engineering to ensure alignment on testing strategies and acceptance criteria.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Collaborate with Business SMEs, developers, and key stakeholders to refine data and system requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Facilitate structured workshops to elicit requirements, ensuring comprehensive input while balancing business priorities and feasibility.
- Manage expectations by clearly articulating constraints, trade-offs, and dependencies.
- Present recommendations and guide discussions by asking stakeholders to critique and refine solutions.
- Build process flows, mock-ups, or data models to illustrate proposed solutions and understanding.
- Plan and coordinate UAT resources, ensuring smooth execution, clear documentation of outputs, and stakeholder alignment.
- Develop and maintain training materials as needed, provide targeted support to users or operational teams involved in the solution rollout.
- Agile Execution and Delivery
- Present well-defined and prioritised backlog items during Sprint Planning, supporting the team in making sprint commitments.
- Act as the primary analyst during development and QA and implementation phases, providing ongoing clarifications and issue resolution.
- Ensure system behaviour aligns with documented requirements, especially regarding data handling and business rule enforcement.
- Manage the documentation of finalised requirements, change requests, exception handling logic, and compliance tracking.
- Prepare and present demos during Sprint Reviews and gather feedback.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience in Product Backlog Management and Systems Analysis working on complex, data-focused initiatives.
- Experience interpreting and delivering solutions to meet regulatory, data privacy, or compliance requirements.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with a strong analytical mindset and ability to work across business and technical teams.
- Ability to critically evaluate business needs, challenge assumptions, and independently develop recommendations before translating them into actionable user stories.
- Solid understanding of:
- System integration and legacy system analysis
- SQL or data querying tools
- Hands-on experience with Agile or hybrid delivery models, backlog/work item tracking, and cross functional collaboration.
- Technical proficiency to understand development processes, constraints, and opportunities.
- Ability to juggle competing priorities, manage dependencies, and make decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, Miro, or similar tools.
- Insurance or regulated industry experience is highly desirable.
