  • We have freely connected over 600 community spaces in 24 boroughs, giving more Londoners free access to fast, reliable broadband.

To help us get to our future, we’re looking for forward thinkers, people with big ideas, people passionate about technology and most importantly hard working team players to join us and be a part of our growing business.Job purpose:As a Project Manager in the Project Delivery Team (PDT), you will lead the successful delivery of strategically important projects from initiation through to closure. You will take end-to-end accountability for planning, executing, and closing projects – ensuring delivery to agreed time, resource loading, and quality. You’ll work closely with the Project Sponsor, Business Leads, internal stakeholders, delivery teams, and third-party suppliers to drive project success.This is a highly visible and impactful role, requiring strong leadership, stakeholder management, and hands-on delivery focus within a fast-paced and evolving environment.What you’ll be doing:Project Planning & Delivery

  • Create and maintain end-to-end delivery plans for assigned projects, managing scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure all project deliverables are clearly defined and achieved to the agreed specification and quality standards.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, resource loading and usage, and RAG status.
  • Apply structured governance and project management methodologies (including change control, RAID logs, benefits tracking).

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Act as the day-to-day lead for the project, working with Project Sponsors and Business Leads to ensure alignment and buy-in.
  • Lead engagement across all impacted functions, ensuring effective communication and active participation from subject matter experts and the wider project team.
  • Provide clear and timely updates at project working groups, steering committees, and PDT reviews.

Risk, Issue & Change Control

  • Own the risk and issue management process, ensuring items are identified, assessed, and actively managed to resolution.
  • Facilitate project governance meetings, driving decision-making and maintaining appropriate documentation and approvals.
  • Manage project change control, ensuring changes are clearly documented, impact-assessed, and approved via governance.

Governance & Best Practice

  • Operate within Community Fibre’s governance framework, using defined templates and best-practice tools to ensure consistency across projects.
  • Prepare handover documentation and coordinate smooth transitions to BAU ownership at project close.
  • Support the development of a high-performance project delivery culture by mentoring junior team members and contributing to the evolution of tools, templates, and standards.

The experience we’re looking for you to bring:Project Delivery

  • Proven experience delivering multiple concurrent projects in a complex, cross-functional business – ideally in the telecoms, infrastructure, or technology space.
  • Strong command of structured project management techniques (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, MSP) with demonstrable hands-on application.

Communication & Influence

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels, including C-suite, senior managers, and technical teams.
  • Clear and confident communicator with a track record of building trust and gaining buy-in in high-stakes settings.

Leadership & Ownership

  • High personal accountability and a bias for action – able to lead delivery teams to overcome blockers and maintain project momentum.
  • Able to manage upwards to Company Executives and Project Sponsors, escalating when needed but always with a solution-led mindset.

Commercial & Technical Awareness

  • Solid understanding of budget management, vendor engagement, and commercial dependencies in project delivery.
  • Experience of technology projects, ideally with exposure to infrastructure delivery or customer-facing service environments.

Desirable Qualifications & Knowledge:

  • Degree-level education in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Engineering, IT).
  • Formal project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM).
  • Familiarity with project and portfolio tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent.
