We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Purchasing Assistant to join a fast-paced and growing operations team in Dublin. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured environment, has strong organisational skills, and wants to make a real impact in keeping supply chains running smoothly.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the procurement process—from managing purchase orders and liaising with suppliers to monitoring stock levels and identifying cost-saving opportunities. With full induction training and ongoing support, this is an excellent opportunity for career growth within a dynamic and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Communicate with suppliers and freight partners to coordinate deliveries.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring availability across all locations.
  • Track supplier performance and help resolve delivery or quality issues.
  • Conduct pricing comparisons and cost analysis to support savings initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast and fulfil stock requirements.
  • Maintain clear and organised procurement records and documentation.
  • Prepare procurement reports and insights to support decision-making.
  • Ensure ethical and compliant purchasing practices across all activities.

Key requirements

  • A third-level qualification in business, supply chain, or related field.
  • Previous experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems.
  • High attention to detail and a structured approach to work.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with procurement best practices and compliance standards.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
