Join a collaborative IT Engineering team and help shape how data drives decision-making across the business.We’re hiring a Report Engineer to join our growing IT Engineering Team based in Milton Keynes. This is a hands-on role focused on the design, development, and optimisation of reporting solutions using MS SQL Server, SSRS, Power BI, and SSIS.You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and insightful data outputs that support critical business applications. If you enjoy solving data challenges, streamlining processes, and collaborating across technical and business teams, this role offers the scope and autonomy to thrive.What you’ll be doing:

• Designing and maintaining integrated reports across a range of business platforms.
• Using T-SQL to deliver ad-hoc reports and data extracts.
• Developing and optimising SSIS packages for ETL workflows.
• Owning and enhancing reporting models used across the business.
• Building impactful reports in SSRS and Power BI.
• Acting as a subject matter expert on SQL performance and data structure.
• Supporting the wider business with self-service reporting tools such as Report Builder.
• Contributing to engineering process improvements and documentation.
• Collaborating closely with infrastructure and development teams to ensure database efficiency and robustness.

What we’re looking for:Essential skills:

• Strong proficiency with SQL Server and T-SQL query writing.
• Experience in report building with Power BI and SSRS.
• Knowledge of SSIS and ETL data import practices.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and functional requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.

Highly desirable:

• Experience in SQL performance tuning and optimisation.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and cube structures.
