We are the leading provider of sustainable and energy efficient solutions to clients in many private and public-sector industries. We have a history of sustained growth and we have excellent opportunities for further significant expansion Ireland.This role will be primarily to support the operation of a significant power generation site in the Dublin area with planned and preventative maintenance support opportunities.The RoleYou will be responsible for the effective service and maintenance of gas-fired Power Generation and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) units. Acting as the 1st point of contact for the customer you must have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated with a strong eye for detail.We are looking for candidates who have a background within the Mechanical industry or Energy industry (in particular Power Generation or Combined Heat and Power projects) and who have, as a minimum, a mechanical craft qualification or higher.We offer a full training programme dedicated to power generation and CHP which is delivered through our training academy on site. There is additional training courses both in the UK and Ireland which all form part of our commitment in delivering a high quality service to both our staff and customers.The PersonWe are also looking for the following skills and experience:Essential:Previous experience of an in-field service role on reciprocating engines or power generation equipmentThe ability to strip and repair a reciprocating engine down to component levelKnowledge of rotating equipmentExcellent problem solving abilityStrong Health & Safety AwarenessKey Accountabilities of the Role include:Ensuring company HSES and QMS Policies and Procedures are being adhered toResponsible for health and safety standards and PPE for the engineers and 3rd party site operativesEnsuring all audits are carried out in a timely mannerConduct planned maintenance and servicing in conjunction with asset manager and Operations Manager on gas-fired power generation and a range of combined heat and power units and equipment in line with servicing schedules and OEM standardsConduct reactive maintenance on a range of power generation and combined heat and power units and equipmentParticipation in the on-call rota’sConduct investigation of system controls to ensure correct diagnosis of faults and aim to fix any issues on the first occasion ensuring thatCarry out modifications to units that have been communicated.Hosting contractors when needed to complete various works ensuring the correct documentation is observedConduct and/or management of warrants works in accordance with OEM guidelinesFirst point of contact with customers technical representative to assist in operational supportContinual completion of all paperwork including Work statement, Service Reports, Warranty Returns, Van Stock Levels and TimesheetsCompliant in Waste ManagementCarryout Adverse Event Reporting and subsequent RCA’s in a timely mannerCarry out all aspects of Gas Safe activities on required plantGood housekeeping of customers sites and company vehicleEnsuring assets run to optimum levels and in accordance with SLAResponsible for planning and delivery of complexed scheduled maintenance. E.g. Major engine rebuild works, out of frame overhauls, Ancillary equipment replacements. All whilst maintaining high standards of Health and Safety and following relevant company proceduresResponsible for assisting the supervised engineering team with Health and Safety responsibilities, on site issues, training and fault diagnosticsResponsible for stock control on high priority sites and engineers service vehiclesResponsible for the day to day performance of the high priority sites to ensure they are operating within agreed SLAAssist in the day to day needs of the field service engineersAssist with the day to day planning of workComplete weekly generation assets SLA target reportCommunicate with other company departments to assist with product improvement and change requestsWhy should you apply?We’re not a perfect place – but we’re a people place.
