Job description: Senior Communication and Stakeholder Engagement ConsultantLocation: Manchester or LeedsSalary / Benefits: Negotiable dependant on level of experience plus package including Flexible / Remote working opportunities, a defined contribution pension, Annual bonus schemes and much more.SummaryOne of the world’s leading multi-disciplinary consultancy firms is looking for a Senior Communication and Stakeholder Engagement professionalYou will work with technical specialists across the UK to tell the story of projects and give communities and stakeholders a chance to shape plans, bringing them into the design process of the infrastructure and development projects that affect them.Current and recent clients include National Highways, the Environment Agency, Homes England, Network Rail, local authorities, water and energy companies and commercial organizations.You will need to be able to:– Identify project stakeholders and develop a plan to build relationships, communicate, consult and collaborate with them.
– Contribute to devising creative and impactful communications and engagement strategies for projects.
– Work with our graphics and visualization team and technical specialists, to develop communications content, from printed brochures to interactive 3D visualizations.
– Plan and run events to engage with communities and organizations, such as webinars, workshops and exhibitions in local venues.
– Plan and run large public consultations.
– Collect and analyse feedback received from the public, to inform you of the ongoing development of our projects and report back on our findings.
– Play an active part in business development for the team – including network building, identification of opportunities, bidding, client presentations.
– Manage projects and budgets – both standalone and as specialist team leader in multi-discipline teams.We are looking for someone who is:– Experienced in handling communications and engagement for Built Environment, Infrastructure and/or regeneration projects (minimum 5 years’ experience)
– Passionate about making the world a better place and ensuring communities have a real say in shaping our projects.
– Proactive and confident, a team player but also able to work independently.
– Empathetic and able to build strong working relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
– Creative, strategic thinker and a finisher, paying meticulous attention to detail and understanding the importance of excellent project management.
– Able to write engaging copy to a high, professional standard, including explaining technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
– Comfortable with multi-tasking and change.
