As a Senior Contract manager, in close collaboration with Business Development and R&D colleagues in Denmark, USA, UK, and China, you will have independent responsibility for supporting early stages of pipeline deals, including drafting and negotiating agreements with academia, biotech companies, and other industry partners globally.Your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensure appropriate business and legal terms for Novo Nordisk with focus on in-tellectual property rights and knowledge transfer to Novo Nordisk
• Drive multiple projects and negotiations simultaneously – leading to finalising well-balanced agreements completed in a focussed and timely manner
• Be involved with cross-functional assignments, negotiation of business terms, compliance issues, AI/digital knowledge tools, presentations etc
• Establish strong networks across the organization and with external partners worldwide
• Work closely together with Novo Nordisk’s scientific experts as well as other colleagues, e.g. in Global Business Development, Search and Evaluation, Business Ethics Compliance Office, HBS experts, Corporate Legal, Corporate Pa-tents, AI Ethics, and Corporate Finance

The agreements comprise among others collaborative research agreements, co-sponsored research agreements, strategic partnerships, Postdoc and PhD agreements, Material Transfer Agreements and Confidential Disclosure Agreements. All contracts are drafted and negotiated in English. Most negotiations are handled over emails and Teams calls, and the position requires limited travel activity.Qualifications
To be a competitive candidate, you should have:

• A master’s degree in law/business law, science, business, or a related field, along with 5-8 years of experience in a similar role within the life sciences industry, a research institution, or a law firm
• Strong background in contract drafting and negotiation, a solid understanding of the underlying business and legal aspects and a sound knowledge of intellectual property rights (IPR)
• Excellent stakeholder management and experience in collaborations between the pharmaceutical industry and academia/biotech companies are essential
• Familiarity with personal data regulations, Health Care Professional (HCP) and Health Care Organisation (HCO) interactions, and AI ethics, is highly valued
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, with the ability to convey complex issues clearly and concise
