Job description: We are recruiting on behalf of a public sector organisation based in Dublin 4 for the role of Senior Executive Officer – Access Policy. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving initiatives that promote equity of access, student participation, and success in higher education, working closely with higher education institutions (HEIs), government departments, and sectoral stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the Programme for Access to Higher Education (PATH) funding streams.
- Review HEI progress reports, track funding outcomes, and prepare summary reports.
- Manage the Access Data Plan and the Mid-Term Review of the National Access Plan.
- Lead research and analysis on access, participation, and student success in higher education.
- Monitor income and expenditure for Access Policy funding streams.
- Support and manage communications, events, briefings, parliamentary queries, and internal reporting.
- Supervise Executive Officer staff and contribute to team development.
- Provide administrative support for budgeting, procurement, and senior management.
- Represent the HEA at sectoral meetings and events.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the Access Policy unit.
Requirements:
- Strong project and programme management skills with evidence of successful delivery.
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and proactively with sound judgement.
- Experience in supervising and motivating staff.
- Knowledge of, and interest in, equity of access to higher education is desirable.
