Job description: I am partnering with a successful Irish business who is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant with at least 5 years strong experience gained in a fast moving and dynamic environment. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the ideal candidate will have a strong financial management background in a wide ranging role.This is a 12 month contract.Key Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Monthly Management and Financial accounts
• Management and supervision of finance /administration (1 person)
• Monitoring and reporting of costs as required, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc
• Forecasting and updating of costings and budgets
• Ongoing monitoring and reporting against budget and targets
• Management of Payables and Receivables
• Managing and monitoring tax compliance including VAT and payroll taxes
• Managing and monitoring month end tasks across finance function including reconciliation of all GL control accounts, Fixed Asset Register, Payroll etc.
• Preparation of monthly financial information for Board meetings

Key Requirements / Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA or Qualified by Experience with minimum 5 years industry experience.
• Advanced Excel skills & Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
• Excellent communicator can deal effectively with financial and non-financial people and is focused on building and maintaining excellent working relationships across the business
• Excellent written communication skills with experience of report preparation for senior management up to board level
• Takes full ownership of areas of own responsibility and is totally delivery focused
• Team player with the ability to work on own initiative
• Results oriented, with the ability to take decisions quickly when necessary and the resilience to challenge/be challenged
