Based in Limerick, this pivotal cross-functional role will focus on optimizing our end-to-end planning and procurement processes, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and alignment across multiple global locations.In this highly collaborative position, you will partner with global and regional supply chain teams, site planning teams, procurement, operations, and other key stakeholders to enhance our operational effectiveness.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Strategic Initiatives: Spearhead cross-functional supply planning and raw material purchasing improvement programs within the Surgical Vision franchise, ensuring seamless alignment across various sites.
  • Implement Best Practices: Collaborate with site planning and raw material teams to deploy best-in-class supply planning processes and tools.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Advocate for standardization, automation, and ongoing enhancement initiatives across planning and purchasing operations.
  • Coordinate Across Sites: Act as a key liaison between the Limerick planning location and Surgical Vision manufacturing locations to coordinate and align on planning strategies effectively.
  • Project Tracking: Develop and monitor key project milestones, deliverables, and KPIs to guarantee successful execution and value delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and proactively devise strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project success.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders to influence decision-making and align program goals with strategic initiatives.
  • Change Management: Support change management and training initiatives related to planning process enhancements or system implementations to foster smooth transitions.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, procurement, or project management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Cross-Functional Expertise: Proven experience leading cross-site or cross-functional supply chain projects with success.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of supply planning processes, MRP systems (e.g., SAP), and raw material procurement.
  • Project Management Skills: Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
  • Leadership Ability: Demonstrated capability to lead through influence in a matrixed environment, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills paired with a continuous improvement mindset.
