This role will be within our managed services team delivering both support and project-based work for our customers. The role will be home based with occasional visits to customer sites or DSP offices. Existing Microsoft certifications are an advantage but with DSP’s position as a leading UK Gold Partner these can easily be picked up on the job.Role & ResponsibilitiesAs a key member of the Microsoft Delivery Team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Troubleshooting and resolving incidents in line with defined SLAs
  • Performing root cause analysis of incidents
  • Designing, Installing and Configuring SQL Server
  • Implementing SQL High Availability and DR Solutions to meet customers RTO
  • Implementing backup strategies to meet customers RPO
  • Assisting with the onboarding of new customers and maintaining documentation
  • Performing health checks on both SQL Server and Azure
  • Designing and Deploying Azure Cloud Services
  • Being part of the established rotating 24/7 on-call rota

Your Experience7+ Years of SQL Server Database experience, with involvement in some or all the following areas:

  • SQL Server Database Administration from SQL 2008 to SQL 2022.
  • Excellent knowledge of database backups, recovery, security and integrity.
  • On-call troubleshooting.
  • SQL Performance Tuning.
  • SQL Design and Implementation.
  • SQL DR and HA functionality including Availability Groups, Log Shipping and FCI.
  • SQL Server Transactional Replication.
  • Reporting Services (SSRS) installation, configuration, and administration.
  • Analysis Services (SSAS) installation, configuration, and administration.
  • Basic understanding of Networks, Windows OS and core services like Active Directory, DNS.
  • Secondary Technical Skills – Business Intelligence.
  • Data manipulation and Extract Transform and Load (ETL) using SQL Server Integration Services, Transact-SQL code and other techniques.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server development tools (Management Studio and SQL Server Data Tools).
  • Design and Implement Azure Cloud Services.

Expected salary: £65000 per year
