An opportunity has risen for one whole time and one 0.5WTE Senior Project Manager to join the HEIW National Programmes team, to lead and manage specific projects within the Strategic Workforce Plan for Primary Care.This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of primary care services in Wales through strategic workforce planning and project management. If you are a proactive and experienced project manager with a passion for healthcare improvement, we encourage you to apply.To find out more about the role and to have an informal chat please contact Aideen Evans, Primary Care Workforce Plan Implementation Lead.Main duties of the jobThe National Programmes Team at HEIW acts as a bridge between HEIW and national programme functions, including primary care, planned care, cancer and diagnostics, urgent and emergency care, and genomics. We lead on service-based strategic workforce plans in partnership with NHS Executive National Strategic programmes. Our team brings in expertise from various professions and HEIW functions, supporting the coordination and alignment of HEIW’s work with national priorities.These senior project manager roles will be working to support the implementation of year two of the Strategic Workforce Plan for Primary Care, which is a busy, high volume workstream. The roles will suit an organised person with an eye for detail. Reporting to the Strategic Workforce Plan for Primary Care Implementation lead you will be adept at managing, supporting and consulting on projects.   • Effective partnership working in the public sector
  • Experience of effective stakeholder working with external bodies
