Job description: On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Senior Real Estate Controller for a newly established position at the company’s Global Headquarters in Copenhagen. This role is part of Group Finance within the Finance Shared Services department and represents an exciting opportunity to shape the company’s international real estate financial operations.About the roleAs Senior Real Estate Controller, you will take ownership of more than 300 rental agreements across 11 countries and lead the implementation of a new contract management module in D365FO (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations). This global role involves cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Finance and Operations teams, reporting directly to the Head of P2P.Your primary focus will be to ensure financial compliance, accurate monthly accruals, timely invoice approvals and seamless collaboration between departments while optimising the real estate financial processes.Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of accounting matters in all rent agreements, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance
• Implement and develop a contract management module in D365FO to handle rent-related financial processes
• Ensure accurate monthly accruals for rent, utilities and property-related taxes
• Oversee approval and payment of invoices related to rent, property taxes and utilities
• Reconcile lease liabilities and expenses, ensuring compliance with accounting standards in collaboration with regional controlling
• Collaborate with the Retail Team, Legal and Finance to manage lease terms, renewals and financial risks
• Support internal audits and reports related to rent agreements and property-related costs
• Optimise and standardise real estate accounting processes, driving automation and efficiency.

Key qualifications

• Experienced real estate accountant with a solid understanding of rent agreements, accruals and compliance
• Knowledgeable in D365FO or other ERP systems with contract management capabilities
• Strong experience in financial reconciliation, lease accounting and invoice processing
• Familiar with lease contracts, property tax regulations and IFRS/GAAP accounting standards
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and process optimisation skills
• Proactive and structured, with the ability to collaborate across departments and drive improvements.
