Job description: (Senior) Specialist, Security AccreditationROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARYThis position is part of the SES Global Security Office Framework and Product and Innovation organisation and plays an important role in the accreditation of the company’s future products.The incumbent will support the product teams across the company in the design and development of products and infrastructure and the submission to the accreditation process of various security levels. Furthermore, the incumbent will contribute to the company’s readiness for future NATO, EU, ESA, and national security domains.The incumbent will be part of an international, multidisciplinary, highly skilled team and will gradually assume more responsibility. Depending on the nature and scope of the activity, the incumbent will be in charge or acting in support of the tasks listed belowPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Understand the company’s product portfolio and identify elements with potential for security accreditations
  • Collect and define security accreditation requirements for technical solutions in close cooperation with system owners, developers, and security/accreditation authorities
  • Support the design and development process by advising on security architecture, implementation of security controls, and documentation needs for classified systems.
  • Support the formal accreditation process, including coordination with national and EU/NATO-level security authorities.
  • Apply risk management methodologies to assess and mitigate threats to classified systems and environment(s)
  • Advise on manufacturing process improvements to support the development and accreditation process
  • Establish and maintain security standards for the products of the company

  • Ability to understand the nature and criticality of classified information in the domain of EU and National Security and maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Proven track-record of high-quality documentation development, by preference in a security related domain
  • Strong understanding of the various products of the company
  • Engineering mindset and ability to understand complex products and explain them in an easy way
  • Proven communication skills, to be able to communicate complex information, concepts, or ideas in a confident and well-organized manner through verbal, written, and visual means;
  • Strong coordination and priority-setting skills and work under tight deadlines;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision across many teams

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering or Telecommunications, Information technology or equivalent;
  • Audit or product certification experience will be considered an advantage
  • Experience in product development or manufacturing processes will be considered an advantage
  • Information Security or Quality Management Certifications will be considered an advantage
  • Previous experience working on EU, ESA or NATO missions will be considered an advantage;
  • Fluent in English, French and German. Luxembourgish is considered an advantage.

OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS

  • The candidate must be eligible for a “SECRET” security clearance, in accordance with the “loi modifiée du 15 juin 2004 relative à la classification des pièces et aux habilitations de sécurité”, as well as EU/ESA/NATO equivalents
  • Travel as required for project realization purposes
