Visit our Careers website to learn more about careers at Applied.Our subsidiary, the ‘Yield Technology Group’ located in Feldkirchen (near Munich) develops and produces high-precision electron optical devices (electron microscopes) with a close collaboration with internationally networked locations such as Taiwan, India and California .To strengthen our Materials and Supply Chain team, we are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Commodity Manager (m/f/d), who will support and collaborate with other departments to ensure a prompt execution as well as efficient and smooth production.Tasks and responsibilities:Development, alignment, and implementation of commodity strategiesManagement of all commercial aspects within relevant commodities (precise machining, ceramics, etc…)Responsible for setting long term vendor base strategiesResponsible for establishing and maintaining robust supply chainManagement of all costing aspects including Cost Reduction opportunitiesWorking together with the R&D team on all technology sourcing and costing aspectsManage business challenges as well as regulatory issues and lead processes for product or service improvementsQualification:University degree in Engineering or related field of studies (second degree in Business Administration is an advantage)Relevant technological knowledge (Mechanical Engineering or Physics or related)Minimum of 7 years purchasing experience in the engineering industryProfound experience in strategic Suppliers ManagementStrong commercial orientations, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skillsCapability to solve unique and complex problems having a broad impact on the supply chain businessExperience in leading cross- organization projects, leadership capabilitiesFluent German and English language skillsWillingness for (inter)national business travels (up to 25%)Your benefits:We offer you a wide-ranging and interesting range of tasks with a high degree of initiative and responsibility.
