The role will be focused on growing and servicing our Danish and Norwegian portfolios you will however work closely with colleagues across the Nordic countries.This is a great opportunity for an ambitious person with a solid underwriting experience to join an international and dynamic organization where you have all opportunities to learn and develop your skills within both Financial Lines and support Chubb in developing our product offering and underwriter expertise.As a Senior Underwriter you will have three main areas of responsibility: * Take ownership of underwriting of both new and renewal business, primarily within Directors and Officers Liability, Crime Insurance, Employment Practice Liability, IPOs and Professional Indemnity. This includes supporting all our business segments, hereunder a focus on multinational programs

• Be the go-to person for other team members in relation to underwriting and wording technical questions and supporting the Nordic Line Manager
• Be a well-known and highly respected underwriting profile in the Danish and Norwegian markets promoting the Chubb Financial Lines values proposition.

Your key responsibilities as a Senior Financial Lines Underwriter will be to:

• Conduct independent underwriting & negotiations which includes risk assessment and pricing of new business opportunities and renewals, as well as independently negotiating with brokers on price, conditions etc.
• Lead and deliver Product Development within the Financial Lines product areas to improve client retention and new business.
• Support the Nordic Line Manager in implementation of portfolio actions.
• Ensure quality control within defined areas of responsibility by undertaking quantitative underwriting review to develop best performers’ segments.
• Sales & Market related activities:

• Represent and promote Chubb to brokers and clients, and thereby increasing Chubb market visibility. This includes local & international meetings and social activities with brokers.
• Maximize cross selling in collaboration with our other lines of business.

• Relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master´s degree in:

• Business Law and Business Administration, Law
• Economics
• Data Science or similar.
• Preferably 3-10 years of experience within financial analysis / financial lines underwriting within financial products or similar experience
• Experience of working in a multinational environment
• Demonstrated achievements, experience and skills in risk analysis within the financial sector
• Excellent communication and commercial skills
• Experience in negotiating and attracting profitable business
• Danish and English on a professional level – written and spoken
• Self-driven and proactive with a Can-do attitude
• Proficient in MS Office tools and the ability to follow a steep learning curve for similar tools used in underwriting.
