Job description: Job DescriptionThe PositionWe are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our team, focusing on designing solutions that align with our business goals. The ideal candidate will leverage their strong architecture, infrastructure and database skills to support the solution design process effectively. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders across multiple teams.What will you do?

• Lead the design and architecture of innovative solutions for complex initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives. Act as a liaison to communicate and coordinate across departments, pitch ideas, create solutions, and present them at both business and technical levels.
• Utilize Jira for tracking tasks and project progress, ensuring visibility and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work with stakeholders to document and validate designs in Confluence, ensuring stakeholder feedback is integrated throughout the design process.
• Design and implement scalable, secure infrastructure solutions utilizing AWS and Infrastructure as Code (IaaS) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Utilize containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes to enhance the deployment and management of applications.
• Support the development and management of SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity, performance optimization, and security to facilitate seamless integration with designed solutions.
• Oversee the CI/CD pipeline, including version control with Git, branching management, and managing the release process to promote code to higher environments.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to maintain clarity and facilitate communication among all stakeholders.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required

• Strong experience in Solution Design, capable of leading design discussions and formulating architectural solutions to meet business needs
• Proven experience with AWS cloud managed-services, infrastructure, and architecture (e.g., Lambda, EC2, SNS, SQS, RDS, S3, etc.)
• Hands on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaaS) using Terraform and CloudFormation
• Knowledge or interest in SQL and NoSQL database management to support the solution design and development process
• Proven ability to implement CI/CD best practices and manage branching strategies in Git
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of applications
• Attention to detail in documentation, particularly in relation to SDLC processes
• Proficient in using Jira for managing and tracking tasks and Confluence for designing and documenting solutions
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong coordination and collaboration skills to drive initiatives across multiple teams

Nice to have

• Experience with data governance tools like Collibra and Immuta
• Knowledge of data platforms such as Databricks, Redshift, and Trino
• Understanding of GxP compliance standards and practices
• Familiarity with Azure infrastructure
