The Data Platform team is responsible for providing Rapid7 stakeholders with timely, credible, democratized and integrated data solutions to gain insights and scale the business. The Product Analytics function supports analytical tooling & processes, quality data models, and actionable metrics to empower Rapid7 Moose to make data-driven decisions and measure customer outcomes.About the Role
The Product Analytics team is growing as we help accelerate the business in close partnership with our product teams. We are seeking an experienced data analyst to flourish and grow within our team. The ideal candidate has a solid foundational understanding of data analysis and relational databases with a passion for sharing their knowledge and creating engaging training resources to educate others.In this role, you will:Lead the design of strategic analytics solutions end to end, from requirements definition, to data modeling, to visualization, setting best practices for the teamDevelop relationships with internal business partners to collect business requirements, define successful analytics outcomes, and design & deliver analytics solutionsLead broader data quality & governance initiativesDrive & champion engagement with our analytics community at Rapid7 by establishing best practices, community resources, and creating engaging enablement material that fosters data literacy and encourages self-service analyticsAssist with onboarding users and other administration tasks in our analytics tools like Tableau & MetabaseThe skills you’ll bring include:Proficient in SQL with strong analytical skillsExperience with business intelligence tooling – Snowflake, dbt & Tableau preferredExperience with web analytics tooling & customer data platforms (ex: Pendo, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, etc)Strong work ethic, resiliency, desire to learn, organizational skills and self-motivationAbility to manage multiple stakeholders, lead projects, and guide junior team members independentlyAgile mindset & iterative approach to developing deliverablesSharp business and interpersonal skills; Should be able to effectively communicate status and escalate blockersBe a team-player! Our team has a nice balance between independent and collaborative work7+ years of experience in a data-focused role is preferredPrior experience working in the cybersecurity space preferredBS in Analytics, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science or another quantitative field or equivalent experienceWe know that the best ideas and solutions come from multi-dimensional teams.
