Job description: MISSION STATEMENTMain mission is to act as the ‘custodian of value’ for the allocated externally supplied finished dosage form portfolio, driving supplier strategy, managing contracts and costs and strengthening relationships to improve performance and deliver in line with Zentiva’s business plan.This role proactively oversees a portfolio of specific suppliers and products, supporting transversal topics related to supplier management and contracting. It is responsible for supplier performance, associated contracting and procurement activities with defined objectives to add value and minimize supply risk. The role acts as a leader across functions and as the first point of escalation internally for planners and central functions for issues that cannot be addressed within a given functional team, coordinating and ensuring timely resolution of escalated issues. In addition the role supports value and activity tracking to help prioritise focus, give transparency and help Zentiva win.This mission is aligned with the values, the ethical charter and the code of conduct of Zentiva.MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DUTIESFor own allocated portfolio build rapport and mutually beneficial partnerships with supplier, manage contracts and deliver joint value improvements:Provide dedicated supplier management and cost ownership for related product portfolio, leading performance reviews and identifying opportunities and risks for top tier suppliers to drive performance and reliable, high quality, low cost supplyManage contract creation and amendments, maintaining accurate pricing, payment, and reconciliation data for allocated portfolio to support team and wider ZentivaLead tender support process and manages submissions with marketsSet supplier performance goals and structure value creation plan including managing execution of cost improvements and pipeline opportunities, tracking and reporting and bringing clarity to improvement delivery versus targets including:Periodically review spend, cost improvement and fit of terms with business need, tracking and reporting progress versus targets (pricing, cost structures, NWC and MoQs for existing, new launch/new sourcing opportunities and technical development projects)Prepare and drive pricing & contract negotiations to achieve targets, either in a lead or support role (depending on the strategic importance of the supplier), keep internal system/s up-to-date in line with outcomes of negotiationsIdentify technical project opportunities (cost improvement) with suppliers and validates with tech projects experts, and negotiate any cost impactsLead virtual functional teams, providing guidance and support to prepare for supplier discussions, to increase awareness of supplier opportunities and risks and to support the virtual team to resolve escalations that can occur from complex service/ regulatory/ quality/ technical issues, challenges or interruptions, securing product availability and business continuityPrepare and lead Business Review Meetings with suppliers in a standardized format, covering all areas of collaboration and involving internal teams as neededLead strategic management for allocated portfolio including supplier categorization, segmentation and consolidation, developing preferred partners who can support Zentiva’s growth plans or exit plans for those who cannotSupport ESO Supplier Scorecard process, incl. proactive sharing of results with allocated suppliers, identify areas of deficiencies and align steps for continuous improvement of supplier performance in all areas of collaborationWork collaboratively with the Manufacturing Strategy and Business Development teams to support sourcing and instigate supplier risk management approaches including performing RFI, RFP, RFQ and contract management and proposal analysisSupport budgeting cycle and COG standard setting, lead adhoc cross functional projects and business cases linked to allocated portfolioSupport the ESO team and wider Zentiva business to identify and address opportunities and risks outside of immediate area of controlCommunicate and align business objectives, collaborating with critical stakeholders (Supply chain, CommOps, Launch management, Sourcing & Manufacturing Strategy, Quality, Regulatory, IP, Finance, Development, etc.) to plan and to consolidate business needsThe employee will perform other tasks under the direction of the Manager within the agreed type of work.OTHER RESPONSIBILITIESQUALITY: Adheres to the principles of GMP in the extent related to the performed activity. Is obliged to regularly train in this policy.HSE: Adheres to the principles communicated within the ESMS Policy of Zentiva detailed in the internal rules of the Company for the purpose of observing the rules of the Health & Safety at Work and the Environmental & Safety Management System.PHARMACOVIGILANCE: All employees are obliged to report any suspicion to adverse events of medicinal products, any adverse events concerning use of a medical device and any other safety information about medicinal products or medical devices in line with relevant internal regulationsCOMPLIANCE (country specific): The employee will comply with all internal rules of the Company, mainly with the Working Order of the Company and all other internal rules specifying the provisions of the Working Order. The employee will make her/himself acquainted with the Code of Ethics (Zentiva “Code of Common Senses”) and will comply with the principles stated therein and in all related policies and other internal documents.COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal (with all functional heads and associates within Industrial Operations / ESO teams, plus Supply Chain, IT, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Finance, Legal, BD, HR, etc.), External (supplier leadership structures, ranging from Heads of Sales, through to CEO’s and any relevant bodies providing thought leadership in Procurement (CIPS etc.)).REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLSBachelor/Masters Degree in Business/Science/Engineering field of study.7+ years’ experience working in a CMO or supplier facing role (Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management or in the fields of quality, regulatory or R&D).Solid understanding of financial drivers and processes of (pharma) manufacturing with exposure to Supply Chain concepts and practices.Experience directly from the pharmaceutical industry can be an advantage.Familiar with GMP manufacturing requirements.Proven negotiation skills in specific areas such as Drug Product Contract Manufacturing, API, Contract Testing areas will be an advantage.Experience in risk management processes.Strong project leadership and relationship building skills.Detail-oriented, proactive and well organized, confident, proactive, well organised and able to work under pressure.Solid listening, communication and presentation skills.English: Fluent, other languages are an advantage.WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOUAn opportunity to work for a successful international pharmaceutical company.An opportunity to learn newest approaches in managing creative and highly adaptive business organizations.Pleasant and dynamic working environment.Continuous personal development.An attractive compensation & benefits package.Above standard social and benefit program.
